There are three types of SEO you need for a well-rounded organic search strategy: on-page SEO, technical SEO, and off-page SEO. By breaking down your strategy and thinking about SEO as these three categories, it will be much easier to organize and execute your optimization plans.

    Hi Friends,
There is a forever ongoing debate between these two, “TYPES of SEO” and “Techniques of SEO”, as they are often used interchangeably in each other’s place. Don’t blame them. They almost sound like synonyms.

    Types of SEO
    • White Hat

There are certain rules and algorithms defined by the Search Engines based on which a website or webpage is displayed on the Search Engine Results Page. While performing various SEO activities, if all these rules and algorithms are followed, it is considered as White Hat SEO.
    • Black Hat

It’s simply the opposite of Black hat SEO. In black hat SEO, the rules defined by search engine are not followed. Instead, this method incorporates practices that are not encouraged to be used by a search engine. But they are still used as in some cases they give results in less time as compared to white hat SEO.
    • Gray Hat

It is a middle ground between Black and White Hat SEO.
Gray hat SEO pushes a bit more that white hat SEO, but not to an extent where the website might end up being banned by the Search Engines.

Black hat SEO will get you where you want to go faster. It is usually less costly because you are taking shortcuts to the top by going against published Google Webmaster Guidelines.
White hat SEO techniques, on the other hand, adhere to Google Webmaster Guidelines but usually take longer and cost more to carry out. White hat SEO carries far less risk and tends to deliver lasting and compounding value over time.
Grey hat SEO falls somewhere in the middle as these tactics are not specifically called out in Google’s Guidelines.

I read all the comments above and understand that the modern world hasn't discovered everything in the SEO industry yet. I work as an administrator for website optimization and promotion, and I can say with confidence that you haven't even mentioned 10% of all promotion methods. Not so long ago, I took a course from calgary seo and discovered even more methods of website promotion and analysis. It's impossible to explain any type of promotion because it's individual for each site, which is why there're specialists who determine it.
