Long-tail keywords are keywords or key phrases that are more specific – and usually longer – than more commonly searched for keywords. Long-tail keywords get less search traffic, but will usually have a higher conversion value, as they are more specific.

Long tail keywords are search phrases with longer word counts. Their length makes them more specific than searches with fewer words. “Buy breathable running socks” (4 words) is an example of a long tail keyword, whereas “buy socks” is a short tail keyword.

    Hi Friends,

Long tail keywords are those three and four keyword phrases which are very, very specific to whatever you are selling. You see, whenever a customer uses a highly specific search phrase, they tend to be looking for exactly what they are actually going to buy.

Long-tail keywords are three to four keyword phrases which are very, very specific that visitors are more likely to use when they’re closer to a point-of-purchase or when they're using voice search. In virtually every case, such very specific searches are far more likely to convert to sales than general generic searches that tend to be geared more toward the type of research that consumers typically do prior to making a buying decision.

If you’re a blogger or manage a website, you’ll know that a keyword is one of the factors that make your site appear on the SERP and, therefore, discoverable by visitors.
They represent the content you offer and make them discoverable via search engines.

Based on its length, there are two types of keywords: short-tail and long-tail keywords.

True to its name, long-tail keywords are phrases that consist of three to four words.
While a four-word phrase might not seem that long in the general context, it changes everything in SEO.

    why use long-tail keywords?

    1) voice search friendly
    2) higher traffic
    3) easy to use

Long-tail keywords are the key phrases that are usually longer of about 3-4 words and are more specific than the keywords that are usually searched for. Long-tail phrases get less search traffic, but usually have a higher conversion rate, as they are not so generic, and more to the point or specific.
