    Moz is pretty good for free trial and to checks backlinks. Also ahrefs has free tools that are the 2nd most updated from google.

    Broken links are removed or changed URLs. It is one of the major issues in SEO. If some Urls removed or changed the pages linked to that taht pages loasses backlink and authority. So need to fix the urls for SEO results. You can get notification about 4040 or 505 error urls in saerch console, either you can check in paid broken link checking tool such as ahrefs.com
