Broken links are those links which show a 404 error message. Generally, it occurs when the website owners make some modification or remove a page from the website. These links are also called dead links and are not good for SEO as well as the person who visits the website

Broken links are the ones that bring you to a page that says “404 error”. The most common, self-inflicted, causes of broken links are: Renaming or moving a webpage and forgetting to change your internal links. Linking to content (PDFs, videos, etc.) that has been moved or deleted.

Broken links are links that don’t work. Some of the reasons why links don’t work include:

A website is no longer available
A webpage was moved without a redirect being added
The URL structure of a website was changed
If you click a broken link, you’ll see a 404 page error or similar message explaining the webpage is not available.
