Linkody is the only tool you need to know how to check quality of backlinks. For detailed analytics of all links currently in your backlink portfolio, click the “ Dashboard ” section – where you will be able to see the metrics of your backlink profile

    HI Friends,
First, you’ll need a list of backlinks you’ve already got. The Google Search Console offers such a list, but without any information about the quality of such links. At least you can combine this list with the list of traffic sources in Google Analytics to find out, which links give you traffic.

A link, which gives you traffic (or, at least, may give you traffic someday), is definitely worth something.

About all the backlinks without inbound traffic: At least a handful of them transfer link power to your website, and link power is good for your search engine rankings. Which of them belong to this handful, is slightly harder to find out, but there are numerous backlink checkers around (some of them are even free to use). They typically state some quality metric of the domain, which links to you. If this quality is zero, the link will be probably worthless.

What you should really watch out for, are spammy backlinks from scraper sites, article directories, and other SEO-only sites: They will be typically ignored by the search engines, but they can sometimes endanger your rankings or even lead to a penalty. So: Ask the webmasters of these sites to remove them quickly. If they don’t react, you can still upload a disavow file containing these sites in the Google Search Console.

“Nofollow” backlinks (from forums, comments, Wikipedia) don’t transfer link power, but at least some of them give you “trust” and make you rank better. You will almost always have a handful of them, but 100% nofollow links won’t help you much.

    a) Get a full list of website backlinks
    b) Get metrics from SEO tools
    c) Check backlink parameters yourself
    d) Consider indirect metrics at the final stage
