Domain authority has become a strong website metric. If you get a link from a low DA site, it may be counted as a bad link, no matter how relevant it is. In the rankings correlation, domain authority has the highest impact. In fact, it weighs more than the number of links pointing to the web page.

    Hi friends,
There are several services you can use to verify a link. Google Safe Browsing is a good place to start. Type in this URL http://google.com/safebrowsing/diagnostic?site= followed by the site you want to check, such as google.com or an IP address. It will let you know if it has hosted malware in the past 90 days.

I have a hard time believing low DA sites are counted as bad links if they are indeed relevant, especially with the latest updates in algorithms from Google. DA is a MOZ metric, not Google's.
