    Very long URLs are usually not displayed 100% in Google. Hence they can be harmful for your webpages for optimizing.

    The shorter the better. According to Backlinko, “Shorter URLs tend to rank better than long URLs.” To prove this, they performed some extensive testing on one million Google search results. Here's a graph that shows how Google rankings decline as URL length gets longer.

    Earlier before I did had the long URL but as per the updates I did changes to the short URL. After updating to the Short URL, there has been significant changes in the keyword ranking.

    That's why Google states that people should avoid using underscores or spaces in their URLs. Instead, they recommend hyphens. Your URLs should be short and sweet. That's because long URLs confuse Google and other search engines.
