Wix is good for beginners and easy to use. Besides WordPress is ideal for creating a complex design. WordPress is far superior to Wix as a web publishing platform for any kind of website. While Wix offers an easy to use website builder, you can accomplish a lot more with WordPress over the long run.

WIX has so much rigidity in its controlling that you might get frustrated after a while. Also it is not as flexible as WordPress is when it comes to CMS. WIX might not need coding etc but the changes that need to be made take forever.
WordPress is just the opposite. It is agile, quick and takes little time to make changes. Also, you can take a hosting package if you want to get a Wordpress site up and ready with BlueHost India's WP hosting service and not break a sweat with software installs because it is a managed service. Hence I prefer WordPress on the whole to WIX.
