The time taken by the Journal in accepting the paper vary from Journal to Journal.It depends on the response of the referee as well as on the editorial staff. In fact some journal take nearly one year time. Delay also may be possible by multiple refereeing of the revised paper also.

Daniel Himmelstein of the University of California, San Francisco, analyzed submission and acceptance dates for all papers indexed in the PubMed database and found that the median time between submission and acceptance has been roughly 100 days for the past 30 years.
