    Hi,
Google Dance was a term coined to describe the massive rank fluctuations that would occur in the past when Google would update their rank algorithm once a month.

    Hello,

the "Google Dance" is an out-dated slang term used for fluctuation in a position that occurs when the Google algorithm re-organizes the rankings. In simple terms, Google dance is the term used when the keyword ranking fluctuates in the search engine results page. This is due to the ranking update by Google algorithm
The name “Google Dance” is used to describe the period of time when a major index update of the Google search engine is undertaken. Google used to rebuild its rankings, & as a result of this rebuilding, rankings of Websites on Google's SERP may fluctuate in order during several day periods.

The name “Google Dance” was in the past used to describe the period that a major index update of the Google search engine is being implemented. These major Google index update occurred on average every 36 days or 10 times per year. It was easiest to be identified by significant changes in search results, and by an updating of Google’s cache of all indexed pages. These changes would be evident from one minute to the next. But the update did not proceed as a switch from one index to another like the flip of a switch. In fact, it took several days to finish the complete update of the index.

I hope this will help you

Google’s algorithm is constantly adjusting the ranking of pages on their site; as new website pages are added and old ones are deleted or become defunct, Google updates its results.
