If you've got a page that already ranks well for the term you're targeting, I'd be very hesitant to test different title tags. Changing the title tag can sometimes have a dramatic effect on a page's ranking. However, if I understand your question, you're talking about split-testing the meta description, which Google may be using as the page summary. Testing meta descriptions is a good practice, but I'm not aware of any tool or system that allows for split-testing. I can't imagine that any sort of automated tool would work: Google must update the description associated with your page in their index before it can be displayed on a search results page.
