To get started, go to Settings & Privacy > Settings > Your Facebook Information > Off-Facebook Activity. From there, you can manage your Off-Facebook Activity, clear all history and turn off any future activity to your account.

While we know Facebook harvests tons of user data, the social network also invades your privacy on a daily basis. The founder and CEO of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, once infamously said that privacy is no longer a "social norm"---and he stays true to his word.

Define spying on you. You are using their service so when you created an account, you essentially agreed that they can hold your information and, if necessary, use your information.

I think that there are no ways to protect yourself from spying especially from Facebook. It has such systems and robots that will find a way to get your data and spying on you. You can disable access to your microphone and location, use VPN and find other ways but there are a lot of variants of how to spy on a cell phone remotely without knowing. External apps can be installed to track your activity and send it to another device. And if you can't detect such apps it will be impossible to protect yourself from such a monster as Facebook.
