How do I know when I’m using the right number of keywords on a page?

There isn't a specific keyword density that pages need to reach, but a general rule is to include the keyword at least three times on short pages, with keywords in headers and naturally within the content.

While this is more of an inexact science, the general rule of thumb is to include specific keywords no more than five times in a standard blog post. Anything else can be considered spammy to the reader and negatively impact the user experience.

Type in your website URL into Keyword Explorer.
Select the country where you audience is based.
Click the Analyze button.
You'll see Top Ranking Keywords.
Click Ranking Keywords on the left panel to view more keywords.
