Which is the latest Google algorithm update?
The Quality Update (or the Phantom Update) was a confirmed change to Google's core ranking algorithm – specifically, how Google assesses quality signals. Websites with content quality issues, as well as too many ads, seemed to be impacted the most by this update.
The purpose of this update is to make sure that sites that rank at the top aren't creating experiences that users hate. The simplest way to think about this update is that user-friendly sites will rank higher than sites that aren't user friendly. But this change is the start of a big shift in SEO.
PageRank (PR) is an algorithm used by Google Search to rank web pages in their search engine results. PageRank is a way of measuring the importance of website pages.
While black hat SEO is not illegal, it does violate webmaster guidelines set out by search engines. In other words, it's still against the rules. This means if you engage in black hat SEO, you must be willing to get hit with a nasty penalty as punishment.

The change for 2021 is how Google applies that requirement. Assuming that your site is already mobile-friendly, safe, and secure, we should focus on speed. In the past, the slowest sites were penalized somewhat. But in 2021 and forward, the fastest sites will get a bonus.
