    Pay Per Click (PPC) is the option of paying a certain amount of money (a “bid”) every time a person clicks on your ad.

    Also known as the “Cost Per Click” (CPC).

    An alternative to PPC is “CPM,” which is an acronym for “Cost Per Thousand” (views). In that model, you pay a certain amount (bid) for your ad to be shown 1,000 times, whether or not someone actually clicks the ad.

    Pay Per Click platforms use a bidding system, which prices the cost of a click based on how many advertisers are bidding on a certain keyword, and how much the advertisers are willing to pay for one click.When your ad is clicked, the person is taken to your web property (your website, landing page, etc).

    Pay Per Clicks ads are usually worth it because the visit generated brings in more than what the click is worth and the searcher is committed to buying. PPC ads are a great tool to grow a customer base because they are focused.
