Google Ads has a feature that allows search advertisers to specify a location, or a set of locations, as the only area(s) in which they want their ads to show. This is an essential tactic for businesses that depend on foot traffic and/or home deliveries, such as restaurants, brick-and-mortar stores, and ecommerce sites.

To take advantage of Twitter's geotargeting feature, simply click "Targeting" during campaign set-up, scroll to "Select location, language, technology", and then click "All > Locations". Once you're in this section you can select the specific regions you'd like to target.

geotargeting is the practice of delivering content to a user based on his or her geographic location. This can be done on the city or zip code level via IP address or device ID, or on a more granular level through GPS signals, geo-fencing, and more.

Location based SEO, also known as geo-targeting, is the practice of optimising your content to appear for your target location. It's fair to say that Google is getting better and better at creating location-based search results on more generic topics, where searchers are looking for something.

Marketers geotarget users on their always-present mobile devices because each person’s location has something to say about their environment and their mindset at a given time — which makes it easier to deliver relevant ad content. The idea is that the more relevant an ad or offer is, the more likely it is to drive what the marketer wants: a sale.

In geomarketing and internet marketing, geotargeting is the method of delivering different content to visitors based on their geolocation. This includes country, region/state, city, metro code/zip code, organization, IP address, ISP, or other criteria.
