    In short, almost everything is handled for you, you don't have to worry about hardware failures or stuff like that. Its easily scalable, redundant and you can easily migrate to wherever you need if you need.
    Another thing is flexibility with pricing, ability to pay hourly is amazing for some, spin up a quick powerful VM for 2h when the load hits, shut it down later on when you don't need it, and you haven't spent 200$/mo. maintaining a powerful dedicated, instead you spent 2$ on that short 2h burst of load.
