Could you recommend me the ways to improve my WordPress site’s speed?
One of my colleagues suggested me these tips:
    - Optimize images for speed on FLATsite
    - Use faster plugins
    - Choose a theme that’s optimized for speed
So, i need to consult with you on what way is right for me and why.
    Any inputs?

    Hi

I would recommend the following though some mentioned above are good starting points.

First thing is to get a Hosting Provider that offers SSD Hosting.
Second ensure the host uses some fast caching system like Litespeed or Nginx.
Then with respect to WordPress itself:

    1. Too much plugins can slow down a wordpress site.
    2. Use a good caching plugin like LSCache if you are on a lite speed server or use WPRocket which in my opinion are the top two that exists today. There are others you can try that are free like WPFastestCache or WPSuperCache amongst others.
    3. Use a good theme yes is very important.
    4. You can install an auto optimization plugin that "smushes" or compress images as you upload them. Search in plugin directory for good one with the word smush or compress.
    5. Keep testing your site using pagespeedinsights and GTMetrix to see where issues could be it will show on waterfall to see what plugins or images are causing the slowness.
    6. Don't leave security as a problem so install a security plugin like Wordfence or Limit Login Attempts at the very least.

Usually you learn as you start designing your site and choose your plugins and keep testing with speed test tools.

Good luck its fun to do.
