Include the target keyword in the meta description

The meta description appears below the meta title in search results. It’s also important for the primary keyword to show early in this copy, so use the target term near the beginning.

Every webpage should include a targeted keyword that the page is intended to rank for. Perform keyword discovery to find the best keyword, and then include that keyword in the SEO meta description. Search engines highlight terms in results when they match the user's search phrasing by bolding the words.

“The meta description tag won't help you rank, but it will often appear as the text snippet below your listing, so it should include the relevant keyword(s) and be written so as to encourage searchers to click on your listing.” ... Search Engine Journal uses a brief meta description on its homepage but not on its posts.
