Short-tail keywords are search queries consisting of one or two words while long-tail keywords consist of three to five or even more words and long-tail keywords are also easy to target than short-tail keywords.

J.K. Rowling's pay for each Harry Potter book sold is not a matter of public record. However, if she receives the industry standard 15% per book, she might have made approximately $1.15 billion, based on the series total revenue of about $7.7 billion. Each new paperback sold at $7 would be mean about $1 for Rowling.

Long-tail keywords have more than three words. Like long-tail keywords, they have minimal search traffic. These Long-tail keywords are used to make a purchase. Because they are more specific and focused, these keywords generate fewer results.

Short-tail keywords are generally the most effective way to drive visitors at the top of the buying funnel to your site. These terms only contain between 1 and 3 words, such as ‘handbags’, or ‘designer handbags’.

Long-tail keywords can be extremely effective in bringing visitors to your site, but they can also be used to target users who are searching for your brand and intending to buy from you. These terms contain more than three words, target users at different stages of the buying funnel, and tend to be more descriptive – for example, ‘designer handbags for work’, or ‘which iPhone has the best camera’.

Short-tail keywords are much more general search queries consisting of one or two words, while long-tail keywords consist of three to five or even more words. ... By contrast, if they are only searching for a general topic, then they're more likely to enter a short-tail query of one or two words.

Short-tail catchphrases are significantly more broad pursuit questions comprising of a couple of words, while long-tail watchwords comprise three to five or much more words. On the other hand, assuming that they are just looking for an overall point, then, at that point, they're bound to enter a short-tail question of a couple of words.
