Why your website is slow starts with how much content you have on it. Large images or graphics slow website down. Lots of images and ads will slow site down.

Use less images and make sure to use the least amount of ads that convert well. Look at chart that shows where ads convert best and use a few there not all over the website page.

Some times it is the vps server your site is hosted on but most times it too much content and plugins on word press blogs that slows a site down.

    Hello,

    "the reasons are here,
    Unsatisfactory Server Location,
    Too much traffic,
    Excessive Flash content,
    Lack of a CDN,
    Using an outdated CMS,
    Too Many Ads,
    Inadequate caching techniques."
