    Dwell time is the amount of time that a Google searcher spends on a page from the search results before returning back to the search engine results page. Google looks at how long people stay on your website to compare it and see if site is relevant to the search terms it is listed for.

    Bounce rate is similar in that if people leave site and not look around then search engines rate it lower quality. They consider what a good dwell time as being 2 to 4 minutes before going back to search results to look at another website.
