PageRank is the name of Google's link authority algorithm. ... Link authority algorithms help search engines compare eligible pages for a given query based on how often they are referenced in links on other pages. These algorithms are used heavily in determining which pages rank highest for a given search query.

Page Rank is the rank your website receives from search engines. It ranks websites higher that have unique content and are seo with low bounce rates and long dwell time on site.

Search engines look at if your site content is relevant to keywords and search terms they list it for. They also look at how many sites that are similar and have content that your site is about that link back to your website. Similar website that have your website listed on their site helps page rank.

In the original PageRank paper (link above), Page and Brin mention basing PageRank on a “random surfer” model – the idea was that PageRank would represent the likelihood that a random surfer, in other words a user who is as likely to click one link on a page as any other, would land on a given page. The greater the likelihood, the higher the PageRank, the higher that page should be ranked in search results. This model revolutionized search at the time, but it had a logical next step: since people don’t browse randomly, PageRank should consider what links are most likely to be clicked vs less obvious links on the page. Each link increases the web page’s page rank. The amount it increases depends on various factors, including how important the voting page is and how relevant it is.

For example, suppose you’ve written a web page about online banking. If one of the major banks decides that you’ve written a brilliant explanation that it wants its customers to see, they might decide to provide a link to your web page. That link could increase your page rank a lot – because it’s from an important and relevant site.

By contrast, if your mother decides to include a link from her website of home recipes, that’s probably not going to have much effect on your page rank. It’s a vote from a less-known website that isn’t relevant to the subject.

Nearly all of the search engines use it as a measure of how important a website is. There are thousands of web pages and billions of links on the internet, so Google uses lots of factors to calculate how important each site is in relation to others. A measure of how important a site helps the search engines to determine the relevance of sites in the results they return to users.

PageRank is the ranking algorithm used in Google search. PageRank assigns every website on the internet a unique number between 0 and 10.

It is difficult to understand and measure PageRank, but it is generally accepted that a website with a higher PageRank is more important. Google has a list of terms people use to find websites such as America, Business, Graphics, Internet, and the USA. Each time a website is asked for, Google adds up all the PageRank numbers of all the pages in the website.

The website with the highest PageRank number is returned first in the results. PageRank matters because it is the deciding factor in where your ad will appear in Google and where your website will appear in the search results. For example, a site with a PR = 4 will appear in the 2nd or 3rd spot in the results when someone searches for the "Internet." A site with a PR = 8 will appear in the 1st or 2nd spot in the results.

Thus, each link from one page to another counts as a so-called vote, and the weight of this score depends on the scores of the pages that link to it. Those pages' scores, in turn, depend on the scores of the pages that link to them, and so on. Calculation seems as pain in the, erm, neck, but we will come to it a bit later.Though PageRank is not public, it still exists. Thus, I would like to explain how it works, what it does, and why it is still important. Plus, I know just the alternative to it when it comes to the ready values' part.

Public PageRank also unleashed link spam. Yes, spammy comments with links in every imaginable place. So it was possible to leave hundreds, thousands of comments that had links right to the particular site, and these links mattered! Dream, eh?

Not really. It became such a pain in…yes, the neck that Google felt pressed into some decisive action. Thus in 2005, a nofollow attribute was introduced, a new value for the rel attribute of HTML link and anchor elements. It was a way to prevent such links from passing PageRank votes along.

Unfortunately, it did not end link spam. But, a nofollow tag is widely used up to our days by an array of major social platforms.

PageRank (or PR in short) is a numerical calculation that assesses the quality and amount of connections to a site page. ... Accordingly, each connection starting with one page then onto the next considers a purported vote, and the heaviness of this score relies upon the scores of the pages that connect to it.

This assessment assists it with deciding an overall score of the page's significance and authority.

Along these lines, each connection starting with one page then onto the next considers an alleged vote, and the heaviness of this score relies upon the scores of the pages that connect to it. Those pages' scores, thusly, rely upon the scores of the pages that connect to them, etc. Estimation appears as torment in the, erm, neck, however we will come to it a piece later.Though PageRank isn't public, it actually exists. Subsequently, I might want to clarify how it functions, how it treats, why it is as yet significant. Besides, I know simply the option in contrast to it with regards to the prepared qualities' part.
