The google sandbox is basically a time period for new websites to go through till they can rank on the first page on the SERPs. It will be unfair if new a website ranks higher for a topic for which a website has been working for the past 5 years. It is not a penalty. It is just the way Google algorithm works. So no need to worry about it and also do not expect that your website will come on the top page the very next day you launch it. You have to wait patiently and provide model behaviour in this time,,,meaning follow all the guidelines provided by Google for a healthy website to make it rank higher on the SERPs.

The Google Sandbox is a metaphorical term to explain why most new websites have very poor rankings in Google Search Engine Results Pages (SERPS).

If you track your site, then you'll know that Google knows your site exists, as it has been indexed. But it doesn’t list them in the main SERPS. In other words, because your website is new, it is under probation in the ‘sandbox’.

It is difficult to say how long a website will stay in the Google sandbox as this seems to depend on the types of keywords it will be completing for in the real SERPS. It can be up to 6-8 months and the only way to get out of the sandbox is to wait.

    Hello Friends,

The Google sandbox refers to a commonly held belief that Google has a filter that places all new websites under restrictions for a certain amount of time to prevent them from ranking in searches.

The new websites will be relegated to the sandbox once Google knows about the site.

The Google Sandbox alludes to an allegorical term to clarify why most new sites have extremely helpless rankings in Google Search Engine Results Pages (SERPS). It is normally accepted that Google has a channel that puts generally new sites under limitations for a specific measure of time to keep them from positioning. The new sites will be consigned to the sandbox once Google is familiar with the site.
