What is Google Sandbox?
The Sandbox effect (or sandboxing) is a name given to an observation of the way Google ranks web pages in its index.
The Google Sandbox refers to a metaphorical term to explain why most new websites have very poor rankings in Google Search Engine Results Pages (SERPS). It is commonly believed that Google has a filter that places all new websites under restrictions for a certain amount of time to prevent them from ranking. The new websites will be relegated to the sandbox once Google knows about the site.
