    What is a Firewall?

“Firewall” is one of the first things you hear come out of a techie’s mouth in any hacker movie, but what truly is it? Let’s take a look!

A firewall is a system that prevents unauthorized access from entering a private network. It does this by creating a barrier and blocking unwanted traffic.

Firewalls are used in networks and organizations with one or multiple computers/servers so they remain protected from malicious activity.

According to name Fire + Wall its just playing as role of wall for any unwanted scripts or bots online. You can allow specific bots or script through firewall settings. Its very good if you are using your personal details like credit cards, bank details etc online to protect your privacy and details.

A Firewall is a network security device that monitors and filters incoming and outgoing network traffic based on an organization’s previously established security policies. At its most basic, a firewall is essentially the barrier that sits between a private internal network and the public Internet. A firewall’s main purpose is to allow non-threatening traffic in and to keep dangerous traffic out.
