How Do You Determine the Reliability and Uptime in Web Hosting?
Uptime is usually expressed as a percentage. It shows how often your website is available and fully operational. The leftover percentage is how often it’s not. Say a web hosting service boasts a 93% uptime. That means their servers are down 7% of the time, on average.
Most good web hosting companies have 99.9% uptime. The web hosting companies have multiple internet lines for hosting so if one goes down they have others to keep websites up. They also have back up power so they can keep running for days if electrical grid goes down.

Generally, the availability of the website shows the reliability of the website.
it is measured by the user's usability and accessibility in a whole year.
so to calculate the uptime of your website for one year , you can try this formula -
Number of hours your site is down ÷ 8,760 hours per year x 100 = Yearly uptime percentage
Here 8,760 hours (24 hours x 365 days) are included in a year.

Thank you so much for sharing all this wonderful info!
Thank you for providing this useful information.
By using a formula that takes the total number of hours in a year, subtracts the total hours of downtime, and divides that number by total hours in a year, and times that by 100. For example, there are 8760 hours in a year (365 x 24). If your website has 4 hours of downtime per year, that leaves you with 8756.
