Website security measures like strong passwords, SSL certificates, and regular backup

Can someone share your knowledge about website security measures like strong passwords, SSL certificates, and regular backups?

My understanding says, Hackers can easily guess or crack weak passwords, giving them access to your website and its data. Having an SSL certificate is crucial for building trust with your visitors and protecting their privacy. It also improves your website's search engine ranking. Website backups are essential for recovering data in case of attacks, accidents, or technical issues.

Any further thoughts or additions to share?

The three points you mentioned strong passwords, SSL certificates, and regular backups are fundamental building blocks.
    1. Strong Passwords:
    - consider complex passwords, add enoungh length to it, never reuse passwords
    2. SSL Certificates:
    - it encrypts login credentials, credit card information, and form submissions, can improve your website's search ranking
    3. Regular Backups:
    - daily backups are always ideal

Here are some more security measures,
    - add Web Application Firewall (WAF)
    - regularly scan your website for security
    - keep your CMS and plugins up-to-date

It's not only having strong passwords. It's where you store them (because they must be stored somewhere, it's physically impossible to have 200 passwords in your head), your logic and reasoning behind them. SSL certificates... they're not so relevant if paid for 95% of general usage, only for businesses and "reputable users".

But accessing a password... can expose many things. So it should be well thought and well kept.

Regular backups are absolutely central and shouldn't even be mentioned nowadays as a security measure - they are very, very much commonplace.
