How to Check Google Index

I have website and i want to know how to check Google Index of my website.

How is it possible and how the website main position can be checked.

Google algorithm is changed now.
May be it will not work.
Google launched new algorithm 2011.

Here is how you can do that. Just type cache: follows with your site url in the Google search result. It should like this cache:http://www.yoursite.com. By doing this it will show you every time and when your site get indexed.

I don't really know you can check your main position in Google. What you can do is to check the keywords that you are targeting just to see where you are ranked for those keywords.

You can do that by using keyword checker tools.
