    Computer Virus
A computer virus is a small software program that spreads from one computer to another computer and that interferes with computer operation. A computer virus may corrupt or delete data on a computer, use an e-mail program to spread the virus to other computers, or even delete everything on the hard disk.

    Bug
An error or defect in software or hardware that causes a program to malfunction. Often a bug is caused by conflicts in software when applications try to run in tandem. According to folklore, the first computer bug was an actual bug. Discovered in 1945 at Harvard, a moth trapped between two electrical relays of the Mark II Aiken Relay Calculator caused the whole machine to shut down.

Bug is a defect in a computer program, often described as a 'feature' by clever marketing people. The term is said to have originated in the days comes when the very first computers, huge and sprawling, filled whole floors of large buildings. It was said that a certain programmer, after slaving for hours trying to find out why his program wasn't working properly, found that a moth had got stuck inside the computer and was shorting one of the components.
Computer virus is a computer program that can copy itself and infect a computer without the permission or knowledge of the owner. The term "virus" is also commonly but erroneously used to refer to other types of malware, adware, and spyware programs that do not have the reproductive ability. A true virus can only spread from one computer to another (in some form of executable code) when its host is taken to the target computer; for instance because a user sent it over a network or the Internet, or carried it on a removable medium such as a floppy disk, CD, DVD, or USB drive. Viruses can increase their chances of spreading to other computers by infecting files on a network file system or a file system that is accessed by another computer.

Bug and virus both are completely different from each other but both are problems for computer users , Bug is an error caused by any software fail ,and virus is a set of instructions mainly generated by some hackers to destroy computer.

They are all classified as Trojans, but they all do different things. For instance Malware is designed to damage your computer. Adware simply shows you an ad. Viruses attempt to disrupt your system. Bugs are vulnerabilities.

You neglected to discuss Ranomware. Which is by far the worst. It locks up all of your files and forces you to pay to get access to them back.

Those other trojans aren’t that bad. They aren’t out for your money or data, they just want to ruin your day. There’s no way that any virus developer is going to be in it for long just for the heck of it. They create Ransomware to get money.

A Virus is a piece of malicious software/code that at its core has no other purpose but to reproduce/copy itself to other computers. A bug is an error that is found on a legitimate piece of software which prevents it from working as it should.

virus is a type of computer program that, when executed, replicates itself by modifying other computer programs and inserting its own code.
A software bug is an error, flaw or fault in a computer program or system that causes it to produce an incorrect or unexpected result, or to behave in unintended ways.
