24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, like all other search engines, Google gives results in the most reliable way. Updates do pose a serious issue. They cannot just shut it down for maintenance and going offline for a minute is a very big problem..

Hi dear When will be the next Google Dance?
Any ideas on how long this type of thing lasts, if we
will get what meager rankings we had back, or if we
    will be starting over again?

Google Dance is an out-dated slang term used to describe the period of time in which Google used to rebuild its rankings, and as a result of this rebuilding, rankings of Web sites on Google's SERP may fluctuate in order during a several day period.

Google Dance is an out-dated slang term used to portray the timeframe in which Google used to remake its rankings, and because of this revamping, rankings of Web locales on Google's SERP may vary all together during a multi-day duration.
