    About Email Marketing

Learn all the tricks on how to build a mailing list. List building is probably the most difficult aspect of online mail marketing. You can't market to anybody if you don't have a list to market to. One of the most common strategies in list building is through lead capture pages. These are usually one-page websites that promises to provide visitors with a tool or resource in exchange for their email addresses. This is a great tactic to use if you have a hard-to-turn down offer. You can also make use of email subscription forms in your websites and blogs. Make sure that these forms are placed above the fold for optimum exposure. What is your opinion about the email marketing?

E-mail marketing is a form of direct marketing which uses electronic mail as a means of communicating commercial or fund-raising messages to an audience. In its broadest sense, every e-mail sent to a potential or current customer could be considered e-mail marketing. However, the term is usually used to refer to:

    * sending e-mails with the purpose of enhancing the relationship of a merchant with its current or previous customers, to encourage customer loyalty and repeat business,
    * sending e-mails with the purpose of acquiring new customers or convincing current customers to purchase something immediately,

Below are good tips for effective e-mail marketing.

    1. Do make sure you have permission to send that person the message. We can set up a control key on the e-mail that we reply to the client to enable him to choose whether to accept the information about similar products and services or not in future.

    2. Do make the message interesting enough to attract your client’s attention. It is wise to set an e-mail template with certain e-mail visual effect, text and product information. This is once and for all.

    3. Do have a message at the end of the message telling the client what to do if he/she does not want to get your messages anymore. It is better to let client go to our website to cancel to receive such information that is useful to increase website traffic.

    4. Do keep your e-mail message short. No one wants to read a long message. Give the highlights and direct to the client to your website for more details.

    5. Do answer all e-mail messages in one business day or less.

    6. Do use e-mail addresses that identify your company and the department. Examples are "sales@abc.com".

    7. Don’t ever, ever send SPAM.

    8. Don’t use all capital letters. It looks like you are shouting or yelling and this is rude.

    9. Don’t use abbreviations. It’s considered lazy. Client doesn’t like to do business with lazy people. The question is, if this seller is so lazy that he writes “B. Rgds” instead of "Best Regards" is he also too lazy to make a good product?

    10. Don’t make the sender guess where the e-mail is going. For example, with webmaster@abc.com, the message could be going anywhere in the company. Client likes to know where the message is going. Always have specific addresses like "sales@abc.com".

    11. Don’t use different colors and different font sizes on your message. It’s considered childish and unprofessional. It is better to use one size and all black.

    12. Don’t use a colored background. Again, it’s considered unprofessional. In addition, they can be hard to read. Always use a white background with black text.
