    Your post doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Your last sentence is "The goal is to improve search engine result positions no matter what it takes to do it." This would imply that black hat SEO is ideal for you since the goal is to improve ranking position "no matter what it takes." Yet your first couple sentences imply that you think it's unethical to pursue that tact. I would also take issue with the fact that black hat techniques have no benefit to site users. You can still have good content that users like and employ black hat tactics, though it's probably not advisable at this point. Ultimately, you need to cater to users over search engines.
