Nofollow links are links with a rel=”nofollow” HTML tag applied to them. The nofollow tag tells search engines to ignore that link. Because nofollow links do not pass PageRank they likely don't impact search engine rankings. The nofollow value for the rel link attribute is used to signal to search engines that they shouldn't follow these links and therefore shouldn't pass any link authority to the link target. Google in particular may, however, choose to ignore this and follow the link and/or pass on link authority.

If it comes down to getting one or having one versus not, always go with. If it is a great website and even though it is No=Follow why not right ? I'd take 100 of those if they were easy enough as opposed to not having them. I figure if you have 100 of them and a competitor does not, you are better off, even if its by a slight margin.
