I own three e-commerce based on Magento, Shopify and Prestashop. Every platform has its pro and cons.

Magento is stable and flexible but is very hard to customize if you are not an expert, very well suited for very big corporate eCommerce.
Shopify is all the opposite but sometimes you are constrained, sometimes it has many limitation even for newbies.
Prestashop is probably in the middle, I personally liked it very much since the beginning and I can be autonomous even if I am not a pro PHP programmer, a lot of documentation and free modules to do a lot of stuff. I just don't like that 80% of the work you do it's in the modules section of the BO and that I am recently afflicted but a very annoying bug on the BO login page.

    Do you agree?

    Regards,
    Davide

I personally like WooCommerce which is one of the best and leading eCommerce platforms in the world. WooCommerce is a very customized and easy to use platform. If you are nontechnical person you can also use this. Moreover, they provide a lot of free extensions which we can use and create our own layouts.

I had been using Prestashop from a while and it also seems ok. However backend is little bit slow.
