Bold and Italicizing Keywords in a post - Does that help for SEO?

I have seen in many posts where the keywords that they are targetting are in bold or underlined or italicized? does this help for SEO for better ranking?

Bold and Italicizing keywords in a content does not help anything in search engines. It just helps the webpage readers to follow that anchor text link or emphasize on the words. Technically they are of no use.

Not at all. In fact, drawing attention to keywords by italicizing or bolding them could look really suspicious to people if not done carefully. Crawlers don't consider things like that, at least not yet.

I think that Bold and Italicizing keywords in a content do help in search engines. It's also helps the webpage readers to follow that anchor text link or emphasize on the words. Technically, you can use them.
