The difference between shared and cloud hosting is that the servers on a shared hosting plan have multiple websites on them while cloud hosting in comparison allows your site to be hosted on various servers. It means that cloud hosting can adjust to traffic and performance.

With all of the hosting types available it can be difficult to make the right decision. When you’re trying to decide between cloud vs. web hosting, think about what kind of things you’ll want from your host.

For example, if you’re a complete beginner who wants their site online as fast as possible, then shared hosting could work for you. But, if you have a very high traffic website and you don’t want to think twice about managing your own server, then consider a managed host.

But, if you want something more flexible that’s cost-effective and can grow with your site, then cloud hosting is an option worth considering.

Hopefully, the breakdown above will help you decide if going with traditional web hosting or cloud hosting is going to be the best fit for your website.

Web hosting is simply the process of offering remote location and maintenance for files and server space used to support web projects.
Cloud computing services that include web hosting are usually multitenant. That means that the files and data resources of multiple clients are housed on the same server.

web hosting : provide only web services . you can request only for web page.

cloud computing : Interface is same as web site but here you can exploit server storage, processor and other resources as per use and ease.

Cloud computing and Web hosting can seem similar because these two types of services can have very similar kinds of setups and deliver a lot of the same results. However, there are some critical differences between cloud computing and Web hosting services that have to do with the technical definition of each.

Web hosting is simply the process of offering remote location and maintenance for files and server space used to support Web projects. Conventional kinds of Web hosting include services where individual users can build and store small websites with a Web hosting provider, and enterprise Web hosting, where businesses enter into contracts with third-parties like Internet Service Providers to host their sites.

Cloud computing can also support remote Web hosting. The definition of cloud computing services involves the connection of clients to vendors through wireless or IP connected networks. In cloud computing, a client sends data to a vendor through an abstract network trajectory called "the cloud." Data is then stored and maintained on remote servers owned and operated by the vendors.

    Two words: It depends.

The word "Cloud" is now a marketing term and depending on which provider you ask, it can be anywhere between a High Availability setup (which is something pioneered by many cloud providers like AWS) to a glorified VPS (like what many hosting providers are rebranding their VPS into).

If you cannot choose between two types of hosting, then compare them. To do this, upload the site first to one hosting and then to the second. Compare the statistics of the site host-tracker.com/InstantCheck/Create/?type=Http This tool will show detailed statistics of the site. Based on this, choose a more suitable type of hosting.

Shared Hosting servers are servers with several websites on them and Webhosting companies build and maintain all the servers, and they place a lot of websites on them. As a replacement on one shared server, your site is hosted in the cloud or we can say the difference between shared hosting and cloud hosting both are lies in how each is organized.

The difference between shared and cloud hosting lies in how each is organized. Shared hosting servers are servers with multiple websites on them. Web hosting companies build and maintain these servers, and they place a bunch of websites on them. This means if your website is hosted on a shared server, it's vying for the same resources as many other websites. Some companies pack a ton of websites onto each server, which can throttle your website's speed and performance. It can also present some limitations in security.

Hello, Web hosting means making your website online and hosting the same on the web. At the same time, cloud hosting means product or service storage on the cloud and access them anywhere anytime without any worries of backups.

Cloud hosting is getting better and better these days and almost every business demands for cloud hosting as per the modern web infrastructure. So, if you are a web development agency then this is necessary to learn how can you host one website on the cloud to remain competitive in the current webspace.

Although there are many cloud hosting provider some of the best in my list are Cloudways, Siteground, WP Engine, etc.

Interesting tip, thanks! I'm using web hosting as it seems to be more comfortable, especially when it comes to my business website. It was really hard for me to figure out what type of hostng I do need and which features it should include. However, this hosting foundry helped me a lot. On https://hostingfoundry.com/web-hosting-uk/ there are described best web hostings and their analysis. As long as I'm living in UK, I found this article really useful. I use now SiteGround and it suits perfectly all my purposes.
