    63 character in length
I believe that is index for the domain name not for the title attribute

It probably makes good sense to have a title that tells something to properly identify the website. And titles for the inside web pages can identify the different sections within the website.

It is quite acceptable having longer titles but the first 70 characters would be displayed as other letters would be replaced with ... by Google but the words are counted.

The page title is the MOST important thing about the page.
The tough thing is to balance the best title for SEO with the best title for the READER. You need to tell the reader why they should click on your title, but the more words you use, the less seo effect it has. The best thing for seo would be "portable trade show displays" but the best thing to get readers to click your title instead of someone else's might be "portable trade show booths | online ordering, free shipping"... It's all a matter of balance!
