The encryption within HTTPS is intended to provide benefits like confidentiality, integrity and identity. Your information remains confidential from prying eyes because only your browser and the server can decrypt the traffic.

In my opinion, all websites ought to install SSL certificate. It encrtpts the connection between server and file browser. In addition to that, a good and free SSL certificate like Let's encrypt is available. There is no reason not to install it.

HTTPS helps prevent intruders from tampering with the communications between your websites and your users' browsers. ... Intruders exploit unprotected communications to trick your users into giving up sensitive information or installing malware, or to insert their own advertisements into your resources.

A secure site builds your customers' trust and if you collect payments or give your customers the ability to log in to your site, a secure site is a must to make sure their passwords and other sensitive information stays safe. It's just the right thing to do in this day and age where digital security is paramount.”
