    File Owner "Unknown" Issue

    Hi all,

I have an issue with the ownership of all files I upload. I use Cpanel and upload all my files to the respective accounts via Cyberduck (SFTP). If I would like to run a php page I all the time get an error message which indicates that the scripts do not run as my files have "Unknown" as Owner. How can I change it, so that "root" is the owner without running any commands?

As I login as root to the account, I also want to upload the files as root.

Can anyone help and explain what I have to change?

    Thanks and best regards

Are you still looking for assistance in that matter? If yes, please let us know the type of account you use while logging in to a SFTP server. Once you provide more details, we will try to help you.
