In Generat - An object for holding or transporting something
In Programming Language - A container is a class, a data structure, or an abstract data type (ADT) whose instances are collections of other objects. In other words, they store objects in an organized way that follows specific access rules. The size of the container depends on the number of objects (elements) it contains.

Containers are a solution to the problem of how to get software to run reliably when moved from one computing environment to another. This could be from a developer's laptop to a test environment, from a staging environment into production, and perhaps from a physical machine in a data center to a virtual machine in a private or public cloud.

It depends on what exactly you are considering. There are multiple types of containers like containers for food from the dollar store, for example, or shipping containers like the ones from Tiger Containers Fremantle, or containers for storing different items. I have a lot of all-purpose containers in my house because I like everything to be organized and in the right place. Regarding the shipping containers, I have a friend that transformed one of these into a play area, and he plays video games outside now. If you want more details, please be more specific.
