    Could someone compare the processors?

Right now we're running on Dual Core
    Intel® Xeon®
    3050 at 2.13GHz

And could run there 4 game servers with 300-400 people connected to each.

we're supposed to change it to the Core 2 Duo Quad Core
    Xeon Q6600,
    8 MB cache

I'm intresting in how much impromevement would we have with the new processors, i undestood that primarily it depends on our software, but if somebody could somehow compare these two processors, would be gratefull to him.

I will suggest you to verify with some benchmark on http://www.tomshardware.com/.

You will see a HUGEEEEEEE difference between the Dual Core and the Quad.

    This is really good one.
But I think that no one can say how much you will need tomorrow. Go with this configuration.

Well its quad core is really better as the no of physical processes always contribute to the level of load you can put on your server . But other factors like RAM , hardisks etc play a crucial role too . So pay attention to these details as well and of course the motherboard too .
