I'm started a Wordpress website/ blog a week ago. Now i'm struggeling with the visibility and searchability of my webpage on search engines.. Are there any guidelines to the best configuration?

Or should i find out myself?

I already installed the Yoast WordPress SEO plugin.

You need to work on the off-page activities to see some results. Simply adding a plugin would not give you rankings.
