Link velocity is the rate at which others are linking back to your site. Put in another way, it is the rate at which your backlink profile is growing over time.

Link Velocity is calculated using the formula:
Link Velocity = ( No of Backlinks Indexed (or) No of Backlinks De-indexed) / Specific Time Period
