    Why I Like Free Hosts

As a webmaster, I like to use free web hosting to host my non-profit sites, or web sites that are in their beginning stages. It is easy to sign-up for a free web site to try out new site ideas, or just to store files for a while.

Sometimes a cheap reseller account is a great idea if you're a webmaster that's constantly developing new sites.

You could no doubt use a non reseller account, but the ability to keep the sites segmented through software such as cPanel and WHM is invaluable for the sake of keeping things tidy.

    Hi

I agree that free hosts are sometimes beneficial if you are trying to setup something non-profit but still, the biggest risk is that the data can be lost anytime and the chances of recovery of the lost data is very less.

And most of the times, free hosts are ad-supported so if you try to make money through free websites, you are going to build a website just with loads of ads. So paying a bit for the hosting is more beneficial to keep a control on the data that you host.

    Thanks
    Have a nice time ahead.

Most of them disappear after few months, a year or they decide to place ads on your site.

    Hi,

Yes, the sites with free hosting will disappear after a period of time, so my advice is go for cheap hosting. There are lot of sources are available on the net, who will charge less.

    Regards,
    Cornell.

I am not much sure about free hosting because there is nothing like free.. Sometime we have to place the providers advertisement on free hosted site or blog.

Free is a relative term here, there are other costs (risks) that you should look at too. You should review all of the risks that others stated here.

Free hosts usually are not very reliable. You cannot host your important site with them.

We’ve recently launched new competitive research tool that allows you to do reverse IP lookups on websites just like myipneighbours.com and similar tools. But it also does much – more you can look up related websites based on Google Analytics and Adsense IDs and nameservers. The tool is FREE to use.

Free hosting services are generally not so good to use. We’ve recently launched new competitive research tool that allows you to do reverse IP lookups on websites just like myipneighbours.com and similar tools.
