    I believe first of all you will need to learn a lot of stuff. Make sure you are aware about web hosting at all. Cheaper and better buy web hosting account for that.

    I believe that free hosting service is not reliable and you will have as much as possible headaches and problems dealing with it.
    I would recommend reliable paid hosting services and you'd better choose well-known company to order web hosting plans at.
    Try to check hostrail cheap web hosting solutions - these guys really know how to do their job qualified.

    There is a lot of value in trying to run a website from home. Especially for web developers who are learning how internet protocol works and how web servers are functioning.
    I am successfully running websites from home on Windows, with firewall ON and had no security issues. I'm using a roboshare reverse-proxy technique that exposes a web ex point from behind the firewall.
