    Yes, its really hard to judge for.. if you have more products then the necessity usually varies.. but if you have a specific website which then targeting 3-4 keyphrases is good than 5-6, since SEO needs patience and firstly check if you are ranking good for already targeted kw's than the natural results flows in automatically ...

    It depends on the content of the web page. You should focus on generic keyword for the given page which can clearly represent the product or service you offer.

    I think one main keyword per page is really a good practice and then maintain LSI for SEO friendly page.

    A single web page should not be optimized for more than one keyword to a maximum of five keywords. You need to optimize other pages of your web site for additional keywords if you wish.

    There is no certain limit in using the keyword. But a huge amount of keyword is needed while doing a complicated optimization.
