New York Dedicated Server with Massive Bandwidth (Streaming Use Case) ?

Hi all, I need a dedicated server in New York, USA optimized for heavy outbound traffic and streaming workloads. Specs I’m targeting: Ryzen 9 / EPYC 7443P, 64GB RAM, 2TB NVMe, and a 10Gbps or 20Gbps port (minimum 200TB traffic per month). Must include stable routing, low jitter, and hardware-level DDoS protection. Looking for providers with real NY datacenter presence, not just resellers, and flexible upgrade options. Any recommendations for bandwidth-friendly NY hosts? Is GTHost.com server hosting reliable? Any reviews?*****

Servers from legionbox.com are worth trying due to their unparalleled services.
Absolutely outstanding - I cannot praise them enough for their outstanding support, willingness to help and general knowledge and troubleshooting skills. A specific technician really went above and beyond to help me when most agents would have probably given up on me within 5 minutes and told me to look somewhere else.

GTHost is actually one of the few providers that fits your kind of use case pretty well, especially for high bandwidth setups. They offer dedicated servers in multiple US locations (including NY) with things like instant deployment, unmetered bandwidth options, and high port speeds like 10Gbps

From user feedback, their strong points are stable uptime, consistent performance, and reliable network, which is exactly what you need for streaming workloads
That said, it’s mostly unmanaged, so you’ll need to handle tuning and optimization yourself.

If you want alternatives, you could also look at bigger names like OVH or Hetzner for predictable infrastructure, and even something like InterServer dedicated servers if you want a more budget-friendly US option with decent stability.

For your case, I’d say GTHost is a solid choice, just make sure to test routing and jitter during their trial before committing

For your specific streaming requirements in New York, those hardware specs are a great choice. GTHost is generally well-regarded for their network stability and low latency in the NY area. Since you need such high bandwidth and stable routing, I would suggest taking advantage of their trial period first to run some throughput tests and check the jitter to your primary audience before committing to a full monthly plan.

For a streaming workload, I'd focus on the network quality as much as the server hardware. A powerful CPU and plenty of RAM won't help if the provider can't deliver consistent bandwidth during peak hours.

Some things I'd look for are:

A true New York data center with low-latency routing.
Dedicated (not heavily oversubscribed) 10 Gbps or higher port options if you expect sustained streaming traffic.
    Hardware DDoS protection.
NVMe storage for fast media access.
24/7 monitoring and quick hardware replacement.

If your audience is spread across different regions, it can also be worth using a CDN in front of the origin server. That reduces bandwidth usage on the server and improves the viewing experience for users in different locations. For large-scale streaming, providers offering guaranteed or unmetered bandwidth options are generally a better fit than plans with strict traffic caps.

Do you have an estimate of your peak concurrent viewers and average stream bitrate? Those two numbers will make it much easier to recommend an appropriate server configuration.
