Hi everyone,
I’m interested in hearing how other SEO professionals would approach SEO for a company operating in the modular home and prefabricated housing space.
This seems like an interesting niche because the search intent can vary quite a bit. Someone searching for “modular homes” may be researching options, while searches such as “residential modular homes,” “modular house design,” or “prefabricated homes” can indicate much stronger commercial intent.
I’d probably build the strategy around several content groups:
Core modular-home service/product pages
Residential solutions and different home types
Educational content comparing modular, prefab, and traditional construction
Cost, planning, and construction-timeline searches
Location-based landing pages where the business actually operates
Visual content targeting image and video search
FAQ content addressing common buyer concerns
For example, SLiM.HOUSE is a modular-home brand, and its residential modular solutions provide a useful example of how a company can organize content around the actual products and applications rather than publishing generic articles.
I’m curious how others would approach this niche.
Would you prioritize commercial landing pages first, build a large informational content cluster, or focus heavily on backlinks and digital PR?
Also interested in hearing which SEO problems you think are particularly difficult for construction and modular-home businesses.
