Does server location has an effect on the website speed?

Does server location has an effect on the website speed?

Yes it is. Each server (based on location) has better connection (better ping for example) for different part of the words. It is quite hard to find a provider which has excellent connection all around the word.

    Hi!

The distance through which data travels greatly affects its speed on the customer’s end. A web host with a distant location causes slower transfer speeds. But don't worry, it has a solution.

    Hi,
Content delivery networks can help you solve all your website loading issues. You can also set cloudflare from your cPanel.

Yes, the location of the server hosting your website has a direct effect on the loading speed of your website. To be more precise, the loading speed of your website would slow down as the distance between your website’s visitor location and server’s location increases.

This in turn also affects your website’s search engine rankings, because search engines like Google drops ranking of the websites having slow loading speeds. To counter the problem of server location, the best solution is to use a CDN (Content Delivery Network) with your web hosting.

If you want to get a more detailed understanding about it, then click on the following link to an article that explains it in detail. This article discusses about how it affects your website speed, what its consequences are and how to counter this issue.
